FixCarNow always provides free brake checks for our customers. We are happy to do our part in keeping the roads safe for everyone. Our brake checks are thorough and efficient, minimizing any risk you may have of damaging your rotors by allowing the brake pads to wear thin. The braking system of the Range Rover is unique and we understand exactly what to look for when performing this crucial check on your vehicle. Our brakes checks include checking out the approximate mileage remaining on your brake pads. Since front brake pads should be replaced around 30,000 miles and rear brake pads at 60,000 this is one of the most crucial maintenance pieces you can perform for your vehicle. Failure to replace the pads as frequently as specified can cause the other parts of the Range Rover braking system to wear prematurely. Once pads wear thin, the rotors become in danger of becoming grooved. We check your rotors and make sure they are not showing evidence of any grooves, wears or lines. We also check the condition of your calipers, drums and shoes. We check the level of your brake fluid and will enquire as to when you last had it flushed and replaced. Brake fluid accumulates moisture as it ages, which then compromises the effectiveness of the brake fluid. We recommend flushing the brake fluid every 12 months in humid conditions and 24 months in dry conditions.

Range RoverAside from maintaining your Range Rover’s braking system by changing front brake pads at 30K and rear brake pads at 60K and flushing brake fluid at 12 to 24 months, you should become familiar with the sound and ease of your braking system. If you know what it sounds like when it’s working, you’ll understand immediately when you hear sounds that don’t sound right, or feel looseness or vibration in your brake pedal or steering column. If you hear squeaks, roars, grinds or feel any sort of vibration or weakness in your brake pedal, see FixCarNow in Santa Monica immediately. Our technicians are happy to check our your brake system and let you know what we find.

Our services help maintain your new car warranty, so if you live or work in the Santa Monica area and are still under a warranty, know we can help you and provide documentation of the services performed.
